A nonprofit CSR platform built at H12 Hackathon to help industries and citizens in Gabes monitor pollution, audit projects, and fund practical R&D interventions.
Technologies Used
GABBIEST is a nonprofit initiative built during the H12 Hackathon: AI Healing Gabes. The goal is to improve CSR outcomes for profitable companies while making environmental action more visible and practical in Gabes, Tunisia.
Result: 1st place winner at H12 Hackathon (AI Healing Gabes).
Mission
The platform focuses on three outcomes:
- CSR dashboarding and environmental monitoring
- AI-assisted audit workflows
- investment visibility for CSR receipts so organizations can reinvest into high-impact internal R&D projects that are critical for pollution reduction
Why This Project Matters
Gabes faces real pollution pressure, and the challenge is not only technical. It requires transparent coordination between industry, citizens, and local innovation actors. GABBIEST was built as a practical bridge between those actors through data, scoring, and auditable workflows.
Product Scope
The repository is structured as a multi-surface system:

R&D Proof of Concept
As part of the CSR R&D track, we built four proof-of-concept project lines:
- Smart waste management with faster routing (Dijkstra-based) to reduce emissions
- NH3 tracking to support controlled pooling with sulfuric acid for fertilizer workflows
- transparency agents for civilians to track risk zones and avoid danger
- smart recycling agent flows that turn waste into practical reuse ideas for citizens
